Olde Silver Service Coffee Pot Christmas ornament from Inge-Glas of Germany. **New for 2008** and from the "Olde German Treasures" collection.
The "Olde German Treasures" is reminiscent of old German tradition and handicraft. Around 1900, it was the style in society to decorate Christmas trees with glass ornament using only the colours silver and white. All of the ornaments in the series "Olde German Treasurers" are created in the style of Art Nouveau. They are mouth-blown and use pure sterling silver to reflect the delicate, hand decorated filigree pattern. Ornament is 3 1/2"
Ornament is mouth blown and hand painted in the Inge-Glas® workshop in Neustadt, Germany; a business owned and operated by the Mueller-Blech family for 14 generations, since 1596.
